IPAC 4 help
« on: March 04, 2006, 01:13:32 pm »
Hey all, I have a IPAC 4 card from Ultimarc.  Players 1, 2, and 3 work but player 4 does not work at all.  I used a keyboard tester program and all buttons do work on it.  Is there something I have to do in the MAME program??  I have heard of controller mapping, but I have searched around and found it in the properties menu but nothing there for buttons and joysticks.  I have MAME 32 version 104 installed.  Thanks, Curt.

Is the 4th palyer controll mapped to a joypad or is it wired to an actual oystick on the CP? If you're just using a joypad, make sure that you have "enable joystick input" checked in your MAME preferances. If not, make sure that all of your wires and grounds going to the player 4 joystick are working properly.

If the hardware is working properly, then it's a user error somewhere.
Have you paid your dues Jack?......Yessir, the check is in the mail!

Both MAME and the I-PAC/4 do not have keys assigned by default for Player 4.

You just need to pick some unassigned inputs and set MAME and the I-PAC/4 to use them.
