So I'm looking at the plate on my cab, and I figured "let's see what I can do here..."

There's this stuff Brakleen that Cool Guy uses for tons of stuff, so I figure to give it a shot.

Spray a little on a rag, wipe it off on the plate...whoa...artwork!

Do a little more and a little more, paint comes right off, leaves art behind!

Figure I'll go for broke and spray it right on the plate.

Sweet!  I have the plate back!

Where do you find Brakleen?  Is it some sort of brake cleaner?

Yes, it is aerosol brake cleaner.  It all works the same, so you can pick up some Gunk brand cleaner, some STP brand cleaner, "Brakleen" just happens to be the name brand.

Get the non-chlorinated stuff.  Your brain will thank me for it later

in ways that you later wish you hadn’t

Picture that piece, but completely black.  That's what it looked like before.   ;D
