Have you built a Supercade?
« on: March 02, 2006, 11:19:28 pm »
I am thinking about building my first cabinet and I am currently looking at the Supercade. Looking for people who have built one and wondering what you like/dislike about it. I also have lots of questions about how you built it, what parts you used, and what problems you encountered. Any info would be appreciated. Would prefer to correspond by email, but I am sure there are many people here who would also like to hear about how you built your cabinet.

Dave.

Post a pic of the cab you're talking about.  It almost sounds as if you're referring to someone's cab.

In other words, Supercade - I do not think that word means what you think it means ;)

Ya know, for such a unique setup, you'd think that design would stick in the brain better.  Now I know what you're talking about.

I think he was the first, and there's another around these parts, but folks don't seem to want to go that route.

You're prolly gonna be the teacher of yourself on that one

Definitely. I like that all the controls are there, but I like my controls as true to original as possible, that's why I went the swappable route...

I based my cabinet around that design, but I went with single-level panel so that I could play Golden Tee Golf.

The guy who built the original Supercade was super nice when I e-mailed him with a couple of questions.

Markvp...I really like your single level CP, especially since I like to play Golden Tee. I was not too wild on the two level CP idea, eventhough from what I have read so far on the forums, people who have gone the two level CP route seem to be happy with it.

I'm in the process of one.  Still.  Now if I can get ponyboy to ship my stuff, and Level42 as well, I'd be able to assemble my CP completely.  Until at least ponyboy's comes, I'm stuck.
