MIDWAY COIN DOOR I WON ON EBAY
« on: March 02, 2006, 02:35:09 am »
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE YOU CAN GET SPARE METAL COIN SLOTS, THE SILVER SLOTS? ALSO WHERE TO GET THE MIDWAY PLATE FOR THE COIN DOOR??

I know you can get these stickers from http://www.classicarcadegrafix.com but in interested in the original plates (if avalible, affordable)

FYI here is the ebay listing http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6256359199&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

Damn! That makes me very reluctant to modify the slots for the mame token.

The originals were rivoted on, so they came off on their own. So, the sticker is probably your best bet.

Arcadeshop.com has repro metal plates that stick on and cover the rivet holes in the door. I have on on my Pac Man and it looks great.

http://www.arcadeshop.com/parts.htm#Bezels

less than a 1/4 way down

They have 2 differnt versions of the silver.

My coin slots swere nasty and rusty untill I used a die grinder with a buffing wheel and rouge (sp?) on them and they look brand new now!!Also buffed the coin return buttons, sandblasted the door and put a fresh coat of paint on. Looks really nice.

I have a door, its not midway and only one slot that I have restored that you could have for cheap if you didnt want to screw that one up. I also have a  new Happ coin mech around here too. The door doesnt have the mounting bracket for the coin mech but I believe the Midway will work fine.
