APac 150nf (.15) Capacitor needed!
« on: March 01, 2006, 12:28:56 pm »
Hello all!...I am working on a little APac joystick project but Andy at Ultimarc accidently only included a capacitor for 100K pots.

The Happ trigger joy I'm using is a 5K pot one.

Does anyone have an extra .15 capacitor lurking around they can spare?

It would have markings that say-- 150nf .15 on it.

I would be happy to cover the part/shipping.

Please let me know! There has to be someone out there with one of these!!!

(FYI- I have emailed Andy at Ultimarc directly. While I'm sure he'll ship it to me I would love to be able to get this done asap since he would ship from England).

Thanks!!!  ;D

Seriously. Will it fit in my basement or what?

come on......of course I did!...they don't sell what I need in store anymore. It's now a "special order part".  ::)

Okay, most of there stuff is except for phones and computers and stereos - - - never hurts to rule out the obvious first though.

It's actually annoying that the "old" Radio Shack simply doesn't exist anymore.....but then again, it's only in the last 3 years since I'm into BYOAC that I've needed little parts like this.

It's funny the blank look you get from the kids that work there. If it's not a phone or radio they don't know what to do.  ::) :P

How about an local electronics parts store?

Also I had a chat with a Radio Shack person in a mall and they were saying the "stand alone" stores usually have more stuff.

And when I needed something special, they'd say to check out the electronics parts store down the street....

Do you have a Graybar or Electronic Supply in your town?  They may have it.

I looked through all my caps from school, but no 150nF.

http://www.digikey.com/

These guys have nearly every electronic component you'd ever possibly need. They have an online catalog, but your best bet is to call them directly and order what you want.

Good luck!

thanks for all of the suggestions....ultimately Andy from Ultimarc emailed me and indicated that he didn't realize that his packer was shipping with only the 1000K capacitors (leaving out the 5K ones). He's corrected that and will ship me a couple.

If anyone is short one let me know and when I get mine I'll share the extra with you if someone needs it.

Thanks again for all of the suggestions.
