Craigs list listing in my area of a non-working 1980 Astro Fighter cocktail cab, claims monitor powers up but board is bad.  Worth $80?????

You probably want to take this over to the monitor forum and ask for help.

Hard to tell if you can salvage it if you don't know if it is working.

The Monitor experts on this board can point you in the right direction.

I'm the seller.  I did hook a computer with ArcadeVGA up to it, and it looked like it didn't want to sync.  I didn't hook a video amp up to it, so I don't know if it's a low signal or other problem.  The monitor is NEC, and has several adjustment knobs that I don't know what their purpose is.

I would say that if you're looking for a plug and play setup, it probably isn't for you.  It may be a simple adjustment, or sending a 5v signal to it but I can't say for sure.  I bought it for $80, and am selling it for the same price because fixing it is beyond my skill level.  It's a pretty nice looking unit, but I wouldn't want anyone to be unhappy with the purchase.
