Kortek KT-2914 have they improved?

Hello all and let me just apologize for the total noob question.

I have a Betson distributor locally and they are asking 400.00 for this beast. I am really tempted. Everything bad that I have read here is about 1.5 - 2 years old. Has there been any improvements to the monitor. I plan on using an arcadeVGA to run it with..

They also have the WGD9200 for 550.00. Is it really worth the extra 150.00? I've read both of the reviews on Retro (also, almost 2 years old) and the general view was that the Kortek was a better deal..

Please help. If this thing is going to die in a year or two then I would just assume buy a used Trinitron for 100.00 and run it with my 9700 PRO..

I don't remember all the complaints, but I remember reading that the rotation controls didn't work before I got mine - they still don't work.  I picked up 2 around Christmas and this is the case.

That being said, they're pretty rockin monitors and I've got no complaints with em.  Haven't tried them with an AVGA, but I use NVidia/AdvMAME with mine and again, rockin results.  My cabs used to do Scan Converter / Std. Resolution monitors for video, and that is such a ghetto way to do it compared to direct video and actual resolution / doubled resolution modes.  World of difference in quality.

Orginally I was going to put a TV in there, but I just can't see after all of my hard work on the cab no making it a 100% arcade machine!! For 400.00 with local pick up seems like the best deal running!
