WTB "Dreamcast Cabinet" - Indianapolis
« on: February 26, 2006, 08:38:43 pm »
I'm testing the waters, here.  I've got some consulting money coming in (not much..  just for a small static website I did for a friend..) and am looking for my next project cabinet..  Here's what I ALREADY HAVE:

Extra Dreamcast
Games
Hacked pads from HarumaN (AWESOME!)
Light Guns
2 P360 joysticks
Competition Pushbuttons
EYGO 27" VGA monitor

The monitor doesn't work, currently, but I'm PRETTY sure I can get it repaired..

Anyways, I've got ALMOST everything.  Just need a cab to put it all in.  My _dream cabinet_ would be a gutted NeoGeo 4-slot cab (3rd cabinet pictured here).  It's 'cool', has a very 'upright' slant to the monitor (for lightgun games), and is EXACTLY the theme I want (looking to make it NeoGeo-ish but withe SEGA graphics rather than SNK..  Using CD instruction booklets for the marquee slots, etc..).  You know, a 'tasteful' conversion...

I had a line on one, at one point, in Cinci, but didn't have the cash at the time..  I'm trying to do this 'on the cheap', since I've got a lot into my MAME cab, currently.

Anyone have anything interesting?  Mostly looking for a 'cool' cab that has a fairly upright monitor and can fit the 27" EYGO.  But I don't want to get strung up for gutting a 'working' cab..  Looking for a shell.

There's an auction coming up in April, but things seem to go high..  And I don't want to settle for the 'junk' (possibly) that'll go low..  So...

Will also need, eventually, a VGA adapter..  Not sure which one I want, yet..  See them on eBay a lot..  Any suggestions?

Thanx for looking!
