White pushbutton nuts - WTB?

I just realized that my translucent microswitch buttons would probably light up a little better if I used white pushbutton nuts instead of the black ones that seem to come with every pushbutton these days.
Does anyone know of a source for white pushbutton nuts?

I realize most sellers don't usually specify the color of their nuts are (probably a little derogatory), since it usually doesn't matter what color nuts are used.

Isn't the led inside the button?  I'd think that it would make little difference what color the outside nut would be, it just might help it glow on the underside of the panel more...

One of the plusses of lighting leaf buttons is that the 'core' of the button itself is relatively skinny, this means the bezel is more easily lit from below (either Knievel-style or just from lighting from the bottom in general.)   

With the microswtich buttons, you either light them up from the inside (which can cause some centralization of the LED beam) or you can try a Knievel-style side-lighting system, but even doing the microswitch buttons Knievel-style isn't quite as effective as with the leafs because of the design. 

My guess is that JoyMonkey is trying an alternate-method to the in-the-button lighting, or he may just have just found that even with the in-the-button method, the black ring is blocking the edges of the beam's spread.

I don't know if clear plastic is easy to find, but you could machine your own if you could find something.  Tap the holes and cut 'em out.  I was thinking some epoxy something-or-other, but I'm losing my mind as to what I was actually thinking about anymore

I tried out a dirty old white nut on my new metal control panel and there is a really big difference. When you look at the button's bezel, you can pretty much see right through to the backside of the buttons nut, so a black nut makes the button look a lot darker overall. The inside of my control panel is pure white enamel, so it makes darker areas all the more obvious.
