game setup for cocktail cab
« on: February 19, 2006, 01:47:10 am »
Guys,

I just cant find it.

Im just about to finish my first cocktail cabinet and im having trouble setting it up so the screen flips 180o for player 2, any help would be great. And is there a way i can do all the games for cocktail cabs at once, and will they flip using a frontend.

Thanks

As far as I know you have to enter the game press tab and enter the dip switch settings and change it there..which is a pain if you have about 1000 vertical games like me in my cocktail...as you have to do everyone individually..and keep the keyboard handy...
if anyone knows how to change them all at once much appreciated

I had to set each game individually on my cab through the dip switch settings. I don't believe that there is a global setting for this.  :(

I believe there is a generic global setting for this in advmame

Perhaps somebody would want to suggest this as an additional function/option for PowerMAME

Yes, AdvanceMAME lets you choose global dipswitch settings in its config file (advmame.rc). So every game that has a 'Cabinet' dipswitch could be set to 'Cocktail' by adding the following line to advmame.rc:
input_dipswitch[cabinet] cocktail

That's definetly something that should be added to PowerMAME if possible. I'll add it to the 'Proposed Features' on the Wiki.
