Hardware Stretch Issue

OK, now I'm getting really annoyed at an issue I'm having.  I had a motherboard with on-board video (SIS), but it was older, so I suspected that was my problem. I went out and got a newer board that also has on board video (SIS).  They are different model SIS's, but neither of them seem to support hardware stretch, so I can get a lot of the games to display properly. I'm just wondering mostly if anyone has successfully used any SIS video cards, and had any luck, or if it's just my dumb luck that I get 2 different models that don't work, or if you did have trouble, what the heck you had to do to get it to work properly.  I don't want to add a separate video card, as it's going into a bartop, so space is limited.

For the most part, integrated video cards are software based (also known as worthless crap) .  You get what you pay for, a "free" video card isn't going to work, and even for integrated video, sis is the cheapest you can get.  The real solution is to spend a few bucks and buy a real card, space issues aside.  However, you might be able to find a motherboard with an integrated ati or nvidia video cards which should (keyword should) support hardware stretch. 

I honestly don't see how space could be that much of an issue, even on a bartop situation.  Even if it is, just get a riser card and poof, the card is lying on it's side.

Try working on a Merit bartop sometime.   Particularly an Evo.

To the OP: try one of the NForce based motherboards.

I think I may be OK,  I found an old PCI TNT2 lying around the house, and one of the PCI slots is at the bottom of the MB.  I think it will clear any of my obstructions.  I did get it working, so I know it's good to go.  The best part about it is that when Windows is booting up, it's using the on board till just before desktop shows up, so I don't have to see that much of the windows screens.
