Thinking of investing in an A.P.B cabinet
« on: February 15, 2003, 01:03:05 am »
Hm.. I really like this game, but it's an Atari System II with a medium-res monitor in a vertical mount.. working for $250 + cost to get it home.. worth it? (I can't think of much use for a med-res monitor and all the other System II games I can find are horizontal mount.. can't even MAME it and still keep the original game playable..)

Oh, well.. I'll probably get it anyways.. it's not that bad a deal for a working game of any kind and I think the last time I saw one on ebay it was probably 2x as much..

APB rules!!!  I love the flashing lights, I played that game laot when I was a kid.  I'd pick it up.  That isn't a bad price.  I wouldn't mame it either, even if it was possible.

Nah, wouldn't do that if I could.. I'm fixing to have too many MAME machines as it is, if I turn Pac-Land into a JAMMA/MAME cab (feh.. Pac-Land.. don't think I can even get repro side art anywhere).. but it's too bad that A.P.B. had to be the only System II game with a vertical monitor, it would make the cab way more enticing if I could occasionally swap PCBs and CPs..

Hm.. yeah, I'll write this guy back and see if he can wait a week or two.. too many other projects in progress  :'(..  ::)..  :D

LOL.. and now he writes back and tells me he has an Escape from the Planet of the Robot Monsters machine as well  :o.. he's even selling a Dr. Pepper machine.. it's like my future self has come back in time to sell me my ideal amusement and vending products..

Seriously, though.. I wonder if I can fit all these machines in my cardboard box when I get kicked out  :P
