Vertical games on a horizontal monitor...
« on: February 14, 2006, 01:28:01 pm »
I was looking for a way to do something with the black space at the sides of the screen, when playing vertical games on a horizontal screen...here's what I came up with...unfortunately it's a manual process, and I have to do each one individually...

Anyone know of a way to automate this process, or another option? (I've seen cropped bezel artwork doing the same thing)

Thanks.

yes if you don't mind building your own mame.  I have  ahack on my website for an old mame (I think prior to .80).  However, when I get home I will try and remember to look at my bookmarks.  There's a site that has the artwork hack for modern mame but it will need to be compiled into mame.   PowerMAME will probably have something like it then :)

Kewl, I'd appreciate any resources you can provide...I'm running V.97 of MAME...I've never compiled this MAME thing before, but I'm sure all it takes is a little research to figure it out...
