cd double up
« on: February 14, 2006, 02:23:48 am »
Great program, putting it in my cab, but

If a cd has more then 14 songs it creates another cd with the same cover art and then puts in the left over songs, anyway i can get them all on the one cd.

Cheers

Edit the skin file you are using with a text editor and looks for the [Titlestrips] section.  In this section you will see:

Code: [Select]
SongsPerStrip=CD
Font=dvsans.ttf
FontSize=14
FontColor=white
SmallFont=dvsansc.ttf
SmallFontSize=12

Change SongsPerStrip to 16 or 18 or whatever you can manage.  Note that the jukebox will automatically reduce the number of songs if necessary to account for the font size, so you may need to adjust the font sizes in this same section as well.

Aha!  I'd been wondering about that one.

Chris, did you get that PM I sent you regarding the popularity list?

Sorry, I missed it.. looking at it now....

... a possible bug.  When you hit the 'Popular' button, you get a list of songs by popularity, but unfortunately not the number of the song, so you can't plug it in to play it.  Or are we missing something...?

The popularity list is just a list of the most poular songs... it was never meant to include the selection address.  The address would only be useful in a CD skin with Absolute addressing set. So this isn't a bug, it's just a nonexistent feature.

Will it be implemented?  Every juke I've seen has has popularity selectable.

This goes back to the roots of the juke being based on mecahnical devices as opposed to digital. Making the addresses appear on the list is trivial (although you would really need a wider display), making them clickable would require the displays to be complettely redesigned.

Hm...since you've integrated touchscreen support, I guess that makes a difference.  With a keypad and no mouse, it's just not fun.
