Additions for the new message board

The new message board looks great!  MUCH faster on my end.

but I would like some changes.. hope you consider them.

1) When posting a message, go back to the forum... I don't want to read what I just wrote.

2) Polls... I believe there is a patch to allow people to add their own polls.  I would love to see a weekly poll.

3) Allow announcements in the main forum.  There have been some major Front Ends to come out recently and since most people dont' read the software board, they go unnoticed.  Since they aren't going on the main page, I would like to see announcements (not full descriptions) to be able to stay on the main page (and hopefully pointing to the software descussion).  I'm sure there are cases of this in all the other specialty forums... but I don't know, I only have tiem to read the software and the main.

I normally move such messages to the software forum and leave the link from the main forum so whomever posted the message doesn't think it was just deleted.

Yeah it would be nice if that little flashing message at the top would get some use.  Perhaps the news of the day could be posted there, including new cab additons and fe releases.
