if you a have a control panel with a 4 way joystick and 8 way can someone test out mario and zelda in nes and tell me which one really works or better.

I always thought the nintendo paddle had an 8-way dpad...

I don't know which Mario game you're interested in.  They made at least 5 for the NES.

Zelda was 4-way, if I remember.  But most NES games were 8-way.
