Where do you find parts, namely "chips" for older megatouch systems?

I have a line on a 13" 199x system which has good cosmetics, monitor, but reported bad chip.

I don't know much about these systems but thought it might be a project to tinker with.

I know little about the inner workings of these systems, particulary older systems, except I understand them to likely be a single board with game(s) running from mem, etc.

Any thoughts or insight welcomed.

What about those of us with no info?  Use the other thread?

Merit Megatouch are PCs with custom parts/board to implement security so that the games will not run on regular PCs.  Here is a link to a page with descriptions of some of the earlier models and info on the MB they are using and some of the other parts.
http://www.meritind.com/Service%20Center/manuals/BOARD%20ID.pdf

So depending on what chip you need it could be fairly easy to get or almost impossible.

Does this mean there will never be emulation of these games?

If these games were emulated I would buy a touch screen tommorrow!

Probably not while Merit is still making money on them.  Sort of like GT.
