Hi There,
So I have a JAMMA cabinet, that spends most of it's time being used as a MAME/XBOX cabinet. However, I also have a number of Arcade PCB's which at this stage spend most of their time wrapped in bubble wrap. This got me thinking:
- I suspect a number of you have numerous Arcade PCB's as well
- When you want to change from one game to the next, do you simply leave the PCB hanging/standing loose inside your cabinet?
- Do you screw them down using PCB legs?
- Each PCB has different dimensions, isn't there a way to make a standard mounting bracket, so that each PCB basically has a standard size.
- Finally, how do you protect/store your PCB's?
In an ideal world, I was thinking about a standard-sized plastic case that is open on one end (the end with the edge connector). Each PCB should be mounted into a seperate standard-sized plastic case, and there should be a standard bracket that these plastic cases can be mounted into the cabinet (almost like a larger version of creating a Neo-Geo style 'cartridge', just using a PCB and a large case). It would then be easy to store the PCB's because one could easily stack the cartridges.
So does something (even remotely) like this exist? How do you guys care/maintain/store your PCB's?
Regards
Olaf
