Help with joysticks... Please...
« on: February 06, 2006, 11:58:30 am »
I am getting ready to mount some happs comp. joysticks in 3/4 MDF.
I've seen people use a router on the 3/4 MDF to get the joysticks to stick out further.  Is this necessary?

Also I lost one of the black pins that holds the joystick through the "base"?... is this something I can pick up at a hardware or electronics store, or do I have to order another from happs?

Oh yeah can I mount my ipac4 with extensions, tiny washers, and woodscrewsm or do I need to order "feet" for it?

Oh yeah again... What's a good place to get t-molding?
I live in California.

Thanks.

Yay I can answer some of these :)

Depends on your personal taste, mine are mounted in 3/4 inch and they seem fine to me. I thought they were a bit low myself at first but after some play time I felt better about them.

Should be available from any hardware store.

I've not got an ipac but I use motherboard mounts to mount my controller and they work a treat.  Again personal preference I think.

I'm going to get mine from ebay but then again I live in the UK and I seem to have trouble finding arcade parts/trimmings :(  Give ebay a shot I'm sure there must be some on there.

t-molding.com is a great place to get it.  Good service and selection.  They will send free samples to compare colors etc.

I bought t-molding from RandyT - http:///groovygamegear.com, he doesn't have a minimum order requirement. Shipping was incredibly fast.

I live in Southern California; not aware of a local source for t-molding although I bet there is somewhere.
