Know of any good places to get arcade cabs in Sydney?
« on: February 03, 2006, 04:11:58 am »
I've just been looking through the Yellow Pages and there are quite a few places that seem to be selling arcade cabinets, but very few of them sell classic ones (From the 80s). Any Aussies - or more specifically Sydneysiders - know any good places?

http://megaamusements.com.au/index.php?x=sales_3 - This one looks good but it doesn't say what the exact cabs are. I'll probably give them a ring tomorrow to see.

Hmmmm..... Based on my previous searches there really is not much available. Occasionally a classic is listed on Ebay but they seem to be few and far between and they fetch some hefty/rude prices.

There is a crusty bloke out at Penrith that has some junkers that would suit a MAME project but you will be lucky to get anything classic or for that matter, anything in great condition.

He might be worth a try if you are willing to put in some hard restoration work. I have been there a few times and there is always something.......
