I have the audio of my computer amplified with a hi-fi system. I've thought of setting everything plugged into a strip, so when I turn it on everything turns on (pc, tv, lights, etc). I have the pc with the power on acc-loss enabled. The problem is with the hi-fi. I always have to manually turn it on pushing the on button. How could I fix this? Also, as soon as the hi-fi does not recive power (when I press the strip button off), it automatically selects CD and not AUX the next time you turn it on. Right now I have the hi-fi plugged into another strip, which is always on and I manually switch the hi-fi on a off with the mentioned button. Another idea is to leave the hi-fi always on, but it gets too hot after a long while. So, now I press the strip button on and the pc, the tv and the lights turn on. Then I press the on button on the hi-fi. For turning off I shut down my computer from the start button. Then I press the strip button off and press the hi-fi button. I'm interested in the idea of a powerstrip with that master/slave system that allows you to turn everything on and off with one button (when you shut down your computer everything turns off too), but if I cannot control the hi-fi with this, it would be useless. Also, the pefect idea for me would be a button or switch that turns everything on when you push it and tells the computer to shut down (like clicking start, shutdown)when you push it again, turning also the rest of the stuff together.
