OK, here is my situation. I am building a MAME cocktail and want to listen to rock'en toons from the 80's while I play vids. I got a small car amp and two 6x9s just waiting to get mounted to my so far hollow cabinet.
BUT....dont laugh!...my new ECS motherboard only has a single hookup for stereo out. So let me guess, the stereo out line has both left and right signals and get separated at the first speaker. So, ..I am just guessing...., I will need to buy a cheap pair of PC speakers and hack them to separate the signals before they get to the amp.
Am I right?
Buy the way, my motherboard says on the box that it has [onboard 6 channel audio CODEC for a vivid sound experience without the need to buy a advanced sound card.]
That sounds cool, but the 50 page motherboard manual says nothing about it.
Let me guess one more time, all sound adjustment is done through windows. (I'm using a MAC now) Or do I still need a sound card? And if so will I be able to shut down the one on the motherboard.
