Multiple wiring questions

I should have everything I need now to start wiring my cabinet.  I am using an arcade monitor, arcadevga, jpac, and jamma harness from ultimarc.  Here are the questions I have:

1:  How to get power to the arcade monitor?
When I got this cab everything was already wired but now I am trying to rewire it with all of my new stuff.  I have done multiple searches on the board about isolation transformers and everyone says thats where the monitor gets power from.  I do not have a direct plug from my transformer to the wall (maybe mine is really old).  Here is a closeup pic of it.  The red and grey wires on the left go right to the monitor.  I assume I can leave these be.

On the right side are a black and white wire.  You can't really tell from the pic but there are 5 connectors on the right, the top 2 are unused, then the black wire, then unused, then the white wire.  The black and white wire connect to the AC (L) and AC (N) inputs respectively on  the power supply shown here.  There is also a green wire that goes from the bottom right corner of the transformer to the FG input also on the power supply.  What do those connectors stand for?

The basic question about this is, how do I connect this up to a pc power supply?


2:  Wiring with the ultimarc jamma harness
I don't know if anyone has used one of these but I am a little confused about some of the connectors that came with it.  First, there is a video connector shown here, but I do not know where this connects to.  On my monitor it looks like it would connect to these wires, but since it doesn't fit I can only assume this is an older monitor and that's the reason.  In other words, I should just cut off the connectors that came with the harness and wire these directly to the connector already there.

There is also a connector shown here which has 6 wires, 2 going to player 1, 2 going to player 2, and 2 going back to the button 4 input on the harness.  What is this used for?
(I just saw there is a connector in there that I missed which connects here, but the wires are cut off about 8 inches down so I still don't know what I'm supposed to do with this.)

Finally there are a few other connectors here and I am not sure where these are supposed to go.  It has a 12v, ground, and coin door wire on them.  Where do these hook up?

1.)  The isolation transormer plugs into 120V AC directly, it doesn't go to a PC power supply.

2.)
a.  Video connector wires:  In your pic the wires from left to right are:  Red, Green, Blue, Ground, and then the white wire over a few pins is SYNC.

b.  The 6 pin connector is a breakout for P1 buttons 5 & 6 and P2 buttons 5 & 6 which are supported by the Jpac, but not part of the standard Jamma harness.  The other two wires should be grounds (but somebody else confirm this)

c.  Those wires should go to your coin door to power the lamps, but since you don't have a power supply connected to your Jamma harness you will probably need to run separate 12v from your PC powersupply to power the coin door lamps.

OK you said it plugs directly into 120v ac, so what do I need to get this hooked up?  Do I leave the power supply that was already in my cabinet and just leave everything as it is so I would have the cabinet ps and the pc ps?  I saw most threads saying to only have one.  Sorry I don't know much about electrical wiring.

I do have a coin door but the connectors on the wires look like it hooks up to a floppy drive (i forget what those connectors are called.)

Typically in your cabinet you would place a plug strip.  Many of us use the Bits Limited Smart Strip.  You would plug the computer power supply and the isolation transformer into the plug strip.

The easiest way to approach this would be to take an old computer power cord and cut off the end that goes to the computer.  You would then solder the white and black wires to the power side of the isolation transformer and connect the green wire to earth ground.

Look at this diagram to see how a typical Jamma cabinet is wired:



According to the diagram, the black wire goes to the right spade connector and the white wire goes to the left spade connector.

well i cut one of my power cords but the wires are blue, yellow, and brown.  is there an adapter i could get at radio shack or somewhere that would do the same thing?

Do you have a volt meter?  If so, you can use it to test the continuity of the wires to the connector.

I will guess that    Brown = Hot,   Yellow = Neutral,    Blue = Earth Ground.
