Spinner Box Plans

Just curious if anyone's built a spinner control seperate from their control panel.  I have an X-arcade and just got one of Oscar's Vortex Spinners and need to figure out how to put together a box for it.

Basically, pictures of what others have built, schematics, and suggestions are all welcome.

I like that spinner knob.  I want to get the MAME logo'd silver one eventually.

So, the spinners 'guts' don't need to be in the dark for it to work?  Wasnt sure about this and the sensors, etc.  Good to know....I can whip something up to test it with thing.

I was thinking about making something similar looking to the X-arcade trackball enclosure....I jsu have to figure out where to put the buttons and all...
