I have some more mechs sitting here that I can modify to accept any coin or to accept only quarters and .984 inch (size of the BYOAC and MAME tokens) but reject anything else. PM me if interested I can accept Paypal, cash, or money order. Also, in your PM please also include if you would like the any coin or $0.25/.984". Thanks!

Thanks for the coin mechs!! Wow - fast shipping; got them yesterday all the way on the left coast. Interesting; they are made by "Coin Mech Inc." and are metal and not plastic.

Worked like a charm in my Bally 80's coin door.

all mechs aren't the same are they? would they fit in a gauntlet machine? I might be interested in 4 if they would. Mine currently accept all coins (quarter and less) but wont take tokens.

Just wanted to say I bought a cpl of these and they work great.

Tokens and quarters drop in and most everything else is rejected.

As far as I know most all coin mechs are the same as far as arcade games go. If anyone has any more info I'd be happy to know. A lot of the times the coin doors are different but despite their make they all can fit the standard coin mech.... I think. All of the mechs I have ever seen come out of machines were the same. If you could send me a picture of your mechs I could tell you if they are the same. PM me and we'll figure it out

Glad they're working great for you but I was wondering what isn't being rejected for you? you say they take the tokens and quarters and "most everything" else is rejected. Of the coins I put in I believe everything was rejected. If there is something I'm missing PM me and please let me know. Glad to see they're taking the quarters and tokens like champs though

Umm, a cpl things slipped through. Cant remember exactly what (I think it was a cpl of Canadian coins that I had from who knows where). I will experiment and get back with you.
That being said, at least 95% of the stuff was rejected.

Might be Canadian quarters... I have a couple in my barrage of coins that I put through each of the mechs after I mod them and sometimes it gets held up and sometimes it doesn't. Other than that I haven't come across anything that sneaks through but I don't have access to a lot of coins besides the American ones (nickles, dimes, and pennys get rejected) and some random tokens/currency I could gather up. I usually focus on getting all the tokens and quarters though but I'd imagine there is something out there that can trick it.

Yup, I still have a bunch available!!

Up in reply #9 I offered what I know of coin mechs and coin doors and that applys to all of them that I have seen so far (not as many as some people here have seen though so I'm definatly not the coin door know-all source). Usually the door varries and the mechs are universal I think.

I had to modify the mechs to fit into my Indiana Jones pinball. There were two small black setoffs(?) on the mech that would hit the back of the coin door which prevented me from fitting the mech properly. I clipped off the two setoffs with garden shears and then I sanded it down. Mechs fit perfectly now.

I got my mechs the other day (thanks for the quick ship!) Seem to work fine...fed the mechs a penny, dime, and quarter...all went through with no problems...I even gave it a Sacajewa (or however you spell it) dollar...went through with no problem.
