I don't understand the question.  When you say board, do you mean a PCB, a flat piece of wood, or what?  ???

I believe he means control panel - which has a bunch of keys, from what I've seen.

Ah, okay.  I have never seen one, but I would presume they would look similar to the poker style control panels.  You would need 19 buttons.  13 for the tiles in your hand, 1 for drawing a new tile, one for reach, one for tsumo/ron, one for kong, one for pon, and one for chi.  You could also put an extra one on there to pause the game in MAME.  ;D

I agree can someone recommend a good site to learn, or just give me a breakdown of how it works. I know there is like Hong Kong Style, Chinese, Japaense, etc... and thats about all I know.

He might also want to put a shout out for Alien_mame overthere or on MameWorld.

I believe he built a Mahjong control panel himself.

Sad Northern Git...

Yes that's my questions. does anyone own such a piece, built one or got a picture of it?

Hi truthfacer,

Yes, I own one (that's my cab in the picture), and I've built one too.  I hope that pic is enough for you, but if not, just give me a shout, I have a load of pictures of different Mahjong Cabs that I have taken from Yahoo Japan.

Does anyone actually know how to play Mahjong?  LOL

Hi ahofle,

I learned how to play HK Mahjong over 20 years ago, and haven't looked back since.  You could say I'm a bit of an addict.

I agree can someone recommend a good site to learn, or just give me a breakdown of how it works. I know there is like Hong Kong Style, Chinese, Japaense, etc... and thats about all I know.

Hi -FTen,

Try www.mahjonginmame.nm.ru

kiyo21 has done a marvellous job of bringing the joy of video Mahjong to the masses.

Any more questions, just give me a shout.

Cheers,

a_m.
