Hooking up a Wingman Warrior Spinner to an Opti-pac
« on: January 22, 2006, 01:01:28 pm »
Just wondering if anyone has been able to do this.  I have tried hooking up four of the five wires (left out the blue wire) that come out of the optical board to the opti-pac but it does not work.  I figure I have to do some modes to the board to get it to work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went looking for this before, too.  I never made it work.  I have read that Logitech mice don't work for mouse hacks, the optic board in the Warrior may well suffer from the same incompatibility problem.

I did find some info somewhere about an old serial mouse driver that was supposed to make it work with MAME as a serial mouse, but it never did for me.  I should point out that I got my Warrior at the Slave Nation Army thrift store, and I don't know if it works right anyway.

It might be easier to scrap the electronics in the Warrior, and use a cheap mouse's guts instead.
