WTB Act Labs USB PC Light Gun-new or old style, I don't care
« on: January 20, 2006, 04:40:48 pm »
Hi,

I know that I'm dreamin, as I post this.  I just had to post.  I got sniped on an Ebay auction for one of these today.  That makes 7 times in a row now that I have been sniped on Ebay for an Act Labs gun.  I'm sick of Ebay and I'm sick of that bull feces snipe software!

Basically, I'm hoping someone here is tired of their gun, has an extra one, or knows where they can steal me one for a reasonable price.

If this is you, let me know.  Last piece for my cab, but I'm not about buy one new.  Too much $$

Thanks,
J

Hey just a thought, you can hack the GUNCON 2 guns for you VGA signal or S-Video or what ever, and there is now a driver with an interface for mame that works like magic.  You can even run 2 guns daisy chained...it is awesome, i did on my cab and LOVE IT! got the guns on EBAY for like $15 a gun, and took about 20 minutes for the hack and about 10 minutes setup. and i FREAKING LOVE THEM!!

Here is the link to the hack:

and here is the link for the driver:

hope that helps!
GALAGA...a way of life!

Killbill,

I do have a Guncon 2, a NICE one, that I've been sitting on and probably will never use.  Maybe I'll take some pics.

It cost me like $30 new. But it only works with TVs not Computer monitors.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all of your input.  I actually got a chance to re-bid on the Act Labs USB Light gun that I lost out on.  Turns out the guy that sniped me was a deadbeat.

I probably paid too much; but I can live live with paying half the price Act Labs sells them for.

Timoe, if you still have it, e-mail me the price you are looking to get for that Guncon 2 gun.  I might use it for my second machine.

Thanks

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the pics.  I'm going to pass.  I'll pick one up later down the line.
Thanks.
