I put it under one of the star-nuts that holds the metal plate which is also wired to the common ground of the entire cabinet.
The box said 'Use Windows 95 or better' so I installed Linux.

I didn't do anything with it.... it's just hanging loose in my CP box.  I've had it like that for a few months with no problems.

The ground wire is there for a reason.  If I were you, I'd connect it to the ground on your power supply.  Or to the PS metal housing as that should be grounded

I thought it went to 110  :o

Just kidding as well!  Don't do that either

Seriously,  its been awhile since I hooked mine up, but I think its there to ground out static that can build up on the ball.   I play Marble-Madness on dry days with fuzzy-slippers after playing with my Van DeGraaf generator .. so I grounded mine.  :)

that's funny as hell... thanks =)  maybe run a de-humidifier with that as well to make sure it's extra-dry... maybe drink some gin while you are at it too)
