Cp Help

I have my cp made out of 3/4 in mdf and want to protect the top and am wondering if there is anything other than lexan or Plexiglas that I could put on it as I don't feel like recessing holes.  Preferably a spray of some sort.  I have 2 joysticks  and a trackball that I am worried about.  as of now my trackball is recessed so that It rests flush.

Unclear as to your question.

You want to protect artwork or the controls?  ???

I am just curious if there is anything besides lexan and plexiglass that I can put on my control panal top.  because while I was constructing it I diddnt think of a protective cover for it.  so if I were to put on plexiglass or lexan I would have to recess most of my cp.
