mag stick plus problem
« on: January 14, 2006, 11:51:31 pm »
one of my mag stick plus joysticks was delivered with a broken microswitch. After 2 e-mails and a little over a week, i have no faith that ultimarc will ever get back to me. I even inquired about getting the ball top handle and having a switch included in that order. Does anyone know what type of microswitch these use and where I can get some extras? It is larger than a cherry. Love the joysticks, but probably would not buy again due to the poor customer support from ultimarc.

thanks

Circo

It's possible Andy has just been out, I think that it is pretty much a one man show over there.  From my experience Ultimarc's service has been outstanding.  He cruises these boards quite a bit, I am willing to bet you get some resolution out of this.

Yeah, pretty much every time there's a complaint about Andy, hes always here with the good old "PM me" or something like that.  If you just wait it out for a while, Im almost positive andy will send you a new switch at the least.

IM sure Andy must be away or something, I have had nothing but excellent service from him. I managed to fry my I-PAC (dont ask) and he let me send it back to him 6 months after I had bought it and fixed it for me before sending it back, he did not charge me for the fix or even for the postage!

I have replied to each of your emails.
You have sent another email today, which I have also replied to. If the reply bounces again I'll post the details here. I believe you have an Earthlink email address, whenever I reply to one of these it bounces with something like "you are not connected to an Earthlink enabled station". It is very frustrating when a customer ISP bounces replies to support emails, as it looks like I don't reply which of course I do every time.

I've never had a problem with Andy's emails, even when he was on his recent vacation.

I assure you it's probably an ISP problem.

Acutally I emailed him today to see if a CC payment went through, didnt, re-sent, done.

Andy emailed me askin for a name, gave it to him, sed the server failed, no problem!  30 seconds later I got my order in and im happy.

Good guy, otherwise I would save the extra 40 bucks and buy some happs supers rather than his sticks.  Service does mean alot, even to a cheap-o like myself.

well i messaged him a different e-mail account. Hopefully this will all be taken care of shortly and was just an e-mail issue. I would have called, but you can't.

As i said before, love the sticks.
