OK, doesn't have to be lately.

Me? I am finishing off my game room and was cutting the drywall with a drywall knife (box cutter) last week. I was using a drywall square as my straight edge as I was too lazy to get the two by four I normally use for the straight edge cut.

Well, the drywall square is only like 1/8" thick (can ya see this coming?) and as I was cutting (pressing on the knife pretty hard I might add), the knife jumped oveer the thin edge of the square into my right thumb!

Thought for sure when I looked up the tip of my thumb would be on the drywall, but thankfully only a two inch slice. Ouch!

All I remember was that the knife felt "cold" as it was slicing into my thumb.

More pissed at myself for doing that than anything though...but on the bright side, I understand chicks dig scars

Stupidest thing I've done lately: Just got a brand new 2-way remote starter/alarm for Christmas. Haven't been able to test it since it's been installed (ie: kept forgetting to set it correctly, I have a manual transmission)...anyhow, myself and my fiance's car are both parked in this school lot behind my apartment building over the weekend (can't park there during the week). I figure I'll try it out on Sunday since we're supposed to go shopping or whatever. Well we got 1/2in of snow Sat. night...Sunday morning my little key fob sounds an alert and it shows my car door is open. I think something must be wrong with the install...I go outside and look; both our cars are being towed, already on the truck as it's leaving the lot. F*CK!

We had to walk 1.5mi to the station to get both our cars out of hock for 1/2in of snow. Stupid because I NEVER park in that lot, but my girl said, oh, "we'll just be leaving in the morning anyhow, plus it's the weekend." Well, she paid the tow fees.

I trusted htat they guy that the State contracted to install firewalls in every rural office attached to the State WAN actually knew what he was doing. Instead I've been putting in 40-60 extra hours a week cleaning up his mess over the last month.

On the other hand, I configured my firewall at home to block this website so I can only access it at work and it won't interfere with important things like homework. Sadly I can't trust my own discipline to do the job. Of course I can always go into the settings and give myself access any time I want, but I think doing that would cause too much self-loathing. So far I haven't been tempted and it's been going all week.

I completely disagree with what YOU think was the stupidest thing you did all week. Telling us "Well, she paid the tow fees" alerts us to the fact that you think you have "his" and "hers" money. All your money is belong to her. Your stupidest thing of the week is to think otherwise

I argued with some woman even though I was right. I shoulda just hung up on her, instead, I allowed her ass hat voice, comments, and opinion to keep coming through my phone when I was fully capable of hanging up my phone and letting her stew in her idiot juices.

In the end, I'm putting $60 back in my pocket, so it was worth it, but once I demonstrated my superior intellect, I should have left her to ponder why she was an idiot instead of letting her demonstrate further.

I started working at 12 at a local "tabagie" (thats corner store in French) washing floors, sorting bottles, etc, etc. My mom always let me control my own money (and unforetunately, it all got pumped into the pinball at same "tabagie"

When I got married, Mrs. Jabba wanted to "give" me my weekly "allowance". Uhhh, yeah! I nipped that in the bud right then and there.

Some of my friends get their weekly "allowance". Never understood that, but heh, different strokes for different folks I guess...

We just had hardwood floors laid in our living room. It looked beautiful and perfect until the wife and I tried to move the piano into the room. Now there are gouges in the wood. So it was stupid to move the piano ourselves instead of paying a professional piano mover to move it.
