WTB: Old Laptop
« on: January 08, 2006, 09:44:24 pm »
I need a laptop that has a CD-ROM drive and at least 1 9-Pin Serial port. Also need the AC adapter. At least 166MHz, 32MB RAM, and a 1GB HDD. Also needs the floppy drive. If anyone has an older one lying around, cool. If you would be cool enough to donate it (this would be going to a school), I could get you a reciept and take it as a charatible donation on your taxes  :police:

Oh, the CD drive is in the laptop itself? Then maybe. Will it work on US power?

I just got something for $15 from a guy who didn't know what he was selling. Toshiba Protege w/ 500MHz P3, 64MB, and 1 GB HDD. What a moron!

well, lets just say I took advantage of the seller's age (11). A friend of my little brother offered "an old crappy laptop that doesn't work." He was asking $15. I saw it and said, without hesitation "ok". The HDD was bad, but I replaced it with a spare. Haha, little idiot.

65 tops thats what its worth. Remember the value is what you will get offered for it. Not what one thinks it is.

Taking advantage of an eleven year old?

Yuck.

Make his day and pay him what it's worth. It'll be healthier for your karma.

Eh, Screw karma. Kid who sold it to be is, well, he reminds me of the little kid in the Gamecube video in the Consoles section. He's a smartass, and annoying as hell

Most eleven year olds are (although I don't have a clue as to what the kid from the Game Cube video does to make him annoying as I have not seen it).

Well, it's your mojo, so whatever. Although, personally, I wouldn't brag about screwing over an eleven year old kid in public. It's low rent, brother.

--EDIT--
...Ah, I just saw that you are sixteen. LOL. I think I get the angle now. Never mind.
