Where can I get one of these spinners?  The OEM doesn't appear to be offering them for sale on their web site right now..  Anyone have any in stock?

Good luck my friend, I've been looking for an oscar spinner as well. Nobody really wants to part with one.
I had to beat them to death with their own shoes...

Oscar should put up a 'pre-order' type list or take them from here.  As he gets time to make them, he can contact people and say 'Hey, a spinner is done.  Your next, do you want it?' etc. etc. and then people could say yes, no, whatever.

How much did they used to sell for anyway?

Keep an eye out here, they do pop up from time to time.  I picked one up here for a good price a couple months ago.

Ooooo!  So that WAS Oscar putting them up?

Add him to my favorite sellers list!

There were 3 auctions from him last night, all started at $65, but buy it now for $75.  Two with tempest knobs, and one with a MAME knob.  All of them looked sweet.

man, am i so GLAD none were left.  i bought a tornado last week.

anyone have some spyware/adware shoved onto their pc from either this page or ebay?  i was at work earlier during lunch, checking this thread out, and after the ebay link opened, a popup appeared labeled "mrj" and i was struck with a "mirar" (spanish for "to look"...i think.  maybe "to show".  eh, either way...)  toolbar and other crap.  then when i tried uninstalling it from the add/remove programs, i was directed to a page where i HAD to sign up for a newsletter of some sort in order to proceed.
luckily adaware took care of it.  i'd've (<--that should totally be a word now) been ticked off if i had to take the long route and go through the registry and whatnot.

Ok, the way I'm calculating this (someone correct me please) the Oscar spinner would be $80 for the spinner and approx. 20$ for the encoder you would need for it.  The Slikstik one is $102 with shipping.  Approx. the same price for both...so...

WHICH IS BETTER?!?!?!

And is it worth the extra 60$ over the ArcadeSolutions spinner...

God...decisions decisions....

The above was purchased.  It seems they go up at random times so...check.  I saw this one earlier in the day and it was unsold after an hour or two so...keep at it :)

If people are still buying.

(BTW, told the wife...not dead yet.  Have to see if I live through tonight...:) ...she IS making dinner...never know.)

The ones up on ebay are usually from Kelsey.

Hes using ebay to show his stock... since he doesn't have time to meet orders... Hes building them, when they are done, puttiing them up on ebay...

Thats, btw, how I bought mine... But it was one of the first 10 from the first build that he put up.

Thats why I'm wondering what was up with it.  The  thing worrying me is I got a notice from the post office that it was to be sent on the 30th...then no update since then on them getting the box, etc. etc.

Hi Robert,

Just to let you know what is going on...

It is true that you won the auction on Wednesday.  Then you paid on Thursday.  Thursday night I emailed you and asked if you also needed a USB interface for your spinner.  I did not hear back from you right away, figured you might be busy, and so I thought I would give you the weekend to check your email and get back with me.  I never did receive a reply from you, so then I shipped your package on Monday and you should be receiving it shortly.  Also, you are about as far away from me as you can get in the lower 48 states, so it may take 3-4 days for your spinner to arrive.

I apologize for not sending your spinner right away, I was waiting for a response from you.  It has happened before that I ask a customer a question to clarify an order, and if they don't get back with me right away, I go ahead and ship it.  Naturally, the very next day they reply to me and wanted to change something...  :)

Wait, email?  Crap.  For some oddball reason that never went through.  I got it today.  I didnt know you had the USB interfaces still...I def. would have got one but thought it wasnt possible and ordered up a OptiWiz.

I already juryrigged something up to test it out...and...damn.  It's...amazing.  Well worth the money (you should see the thing I juryrigged up though...it's got about 8 wires to crosslink everything :)).  Only thing I need to do now is get things connected write and build an enclosure for it (and make the wiring not as frankenstein-like).

I just wanted to make sure something didn't get lost somewhere.

Just curious, but where did you get the email address?  (it could have gone to my throwaway account, but I dont think so because I got the ebay notices).  Either way, it was still fast, I was just worried about the USPS notification thing not working :).

Thanks!

Yeah, for some reason I figured that you might have been interested in a USB for the spinner.

I contacted you through ebay, so it must be the email address associated with your ebay account.

Well, I'm glad your spinner arrived safely and that you are happy with it!

If anyone is interested, while I was sorting through some boxes of spinners and parts yesterday, I found a couple of the Push/Pull spinners that I thought were long gone.  I have one on ebay right now, and I might put another one up later.

Hey Oscar, is there a reason you wont ship to Canada?  Your auction shows only US, Austrailia and Great Britain as places you will ship to.

Yes, I have some V2's, just haven't gotten to them yet.  I will try to get to those within the next week or two.  When I closed down last summer, I boxed everything up and I'm just starting on getting them out of storage and going through them.

Sorry about the Canada thing, I thought I selected that box, must have overlooked it when I submitted the listing.  I'll see if I can revise the auction to change the countries.

Would you be willing to let Saint host a mirror of the examples and instruction pages from your site?  A lot of us referenced the "non-sales" pages you have.

I've updated the main page of my site to allow access to all my examples and how-to documents.  At some point I will eventually go back and pretty it all up, but at least now people can view these pages again.

Thanks,

You are welcome, I'm glad you guys find the documents useful.

I also apologize for my delinquence in getting those links back up.  Saint, SirP, and many others have asked me to either get those back up, or have saint host the pages here.  I have been pretty much non-responsive to email for the past few months because I've been gone so much, most has gone directly to /dev/null due to spam and otherwise...

However, it seems that I have a bit more time at home now for at least a little while, so I am really going to try to get my site back in order to make it easier to navigate and find the information.

Kelsey,

I've sent you a PM and an e-mail a couple of months ago because I was interested into getting a V2 and a few other things.  If you dig out a few V2's, please don't forget me...   :D

Thanks in advance
