P360 hub assembly dimensions (height)?
« on: January 04, 2006, 06:22:37 pm »
Similar to this one for the super: http://www.happcontrols.com/images/50/50608400_mounting.gif

The Happ site only seems to have an exploded diagram/assembly instructions PDF.

Mostly interested in the height measurement of the entire bottom half of the joystick. I'm trying to make the lowest profile possible portable single player CP with a slanted base but not sure of the minimum mounting space allowed. In the pictures I've seen of the super vs p360 its hard to tell if they are exactly the same height. The measurement of the super is 67mm/2.64" for example.

I have this weekend free to work, but my sticks won't be here until next week and I'd like to have my CP ready when they get here :(

Thanks in advance!
mike

From the top of the Hub to the base it is about 53mm and then the shaft extends about another 4-5mm.  If you are really wanting to make the lowest profile portable single player CP you should consider going with Sanwa or Siemitsu parts.  I mean look at the low profile on this stick.  You don't get much lower than that.

Thank you very much... Those byrdo CPs are my inspiration, but I wanted to transfer the components over to a dedicated mame box later this year.
