Help, Mamewah & Stretch Using Hardware option
« on: January 01, 2006, 02:41:47 pm »
Why when have the, Stretch Using Hardware option untick in the advanced tab of Mame32 for a certain game in this case Alien VS Prediator will mamewah not load the rom?

I have this option unticked because with it ticked i get the old roll over effect at the top and bottom of my monitor.

The screen saying that the rom is loading quickly appears then disappears and the rom doesnt load, i have noticed after this happens in the INI folder for mame32 next to the avsp.ini file (Alien VS Predator) another file appears called avsp.cfg.

Although some people use it, it is not advised to use Mame32 with MameWAH. THe recommended version is the Windows commandline version of mame.

Just an FYI,
John

Ok ive pointed mamewah ini file to mame103b DOS version, now when i select a rom to load, a dos window appears soing the rom files loading, then the window dissappears and the rom doesnt load, what do i need to do? is it something to do with the [nodosbox][nosafelaunch] line in the ini file??

Don't confuse the Windows commandline version with the DOS version, as you stated. Just because it's commandline doesn't mean it's for DOS. You need the top download from here:

Good Luck,
