Is there a way to search the KLOV?
« on: February 05, 2003, 07:34:24 am »
I went to the search page and it just had a box for typing in a game name.

I thought there used to be a way to search for all driving games, all 2-player simultaneous games, etc.

Does anyone else remember or know?

I don't know that klov ever supported that search feature.

The catver.ini file can be used by some front ends to sort and search your roms. http://www.catver.com/

Catver is also used by http://www.mame.dk/ to sort the roms online. Perhaps this is the search engine you remember?

No I'm pretty sure it was KLOV.  I am looking for a search by number of inputs, number of simultaneous players, etc.  sinfo.exe will do this using mame's listinfo command, but that's horribly inaccurate.

I asked the same question on alt.games. mame

here is the power search feature:

http://www.klov.com/search.html

the 2 game simultaneous yields ALOT of games, and some aren't mamed yet so it will take a bit to weed through.
its better to not post and be thought a fool, then to whip out your keyboard and remove all doubt...

I know that there is an accurate list of what it is your searching for. There is a project going on currently that is trying to accurately document the controls.
