yeah, that is what I am worried about.............buying a monitor from someone on ebay and it is broken.  I have heard it both ways. :o

;D  i bought a dynamo cab (ikari)  and was told the monitor size is 25"  but I am interested in the Betson 27in.  Anyone know how to tell if the 27in will work?  will it effect having a bezel? ::)

I bought a new 19" Happ Vision Pro II on sale at $160. I figured with all the games I'd be playing, I might as well have a nice new crisp picture and not have to worry about parts failing on me. (Added bonus: Doesn't require an isolation transformer)

If you can go with a new one it is well worth the extra cost.

If your gonna go authentic picture....I recommend a arcadevga  ( ultimarc.com ) and the happs CGA monitor ( arcadeshop.com )  get stuff new and save yourself the hours of troubleshooting unless you like the challenge and the possible side effect of death from playing with big red wires ( j/k )

Cheers,

Ray, where'd you get that?

It's on sale at Happ until the end of Jan (I believe)

The monitor that came with my MK3 cab had a totally fried board. I replaced it with an 8liners chassis and have been very pleased. 6 months of use and it still looks great. Installation could not have been easier either. Just a few screws, 4 wires, 4 terminals, no soldering, perfect picture. The whole swap took less than an hour.
Signature tags are dumb.

for the price of the Happ 27inch. $471.38 do you think I might as well go with a Neotech or a Wellgardner monitor?
