Gauntlet Original Metal Control Panel
« on: December 23, 2005, 01:18:46 am »
I'm about ready to trash my old gauntlet 2 control panel; the machine was stripped before I bought it, but the metal control panel that was over the wood is still intact and in relatively good shape.

Would anybody want to buy this, or does anybody think it has any value?  I still have the wood and metal bolts as well, but the wood is pretty hacked up and doesn't seem original.

NOTE:  DISCLAIMER:  I might be interested...  So take my prices with a grain of salt... but I think its pretty close... I was looking a year ago.

They sell on ebay for about 20 - 50 bucks if they have the joysticks based on the look of the sticks and the quality of the art.

I would guess if you had decent art you might get 10 - 30 for it on ebay.... shipping will be probably 10 bucks though.

Where are you located?  might find someone local...  But don't throw it, put up a picture and you might get an offer.

haha no this is in no means mint, the jerk who has this last stripped the art and joysticks, and cut up the wood underneath, changed all the joystick and button configs so it would be a 3 player game, and replaced the art with a metal capcom sticker.  All that's left is the wood, which is in pretty bad condtition, and the original metal control panel, which is unmodified.

The only thing im really considering selling here is the metal part of the control panel, since that seems like something that you really cant make yourself, and somebody might be looking for.

Do you still have the metal panel?

I am looking to build a gauntlet pretty soon, and I have joysticks already, so I only need a metal panel, I think I could pretty easily make a new wood piece to replace the trashed one currently on it. I will give you a fair offer if you still have the metal panel.  :D

I am gauging my price by what I have payed on ebay in the past for similiar items, but if shipping is US, the it should be about 10 dollars, so I'll offer you $10 dollars for the control panel for a total of $20

Does that sound ok to you?
If shipping will be different, let me know.

Thanks :)
