I put this up on some other forums I frequent, and figured it wouldn't hurt to pop it up here at BYOAC.  I really need a smaller laptop for school, so I'm hoping to sell this so that I can buy a Dell 700m.

I tried to describe everything I could about the laptop.  Please feel free to ask me any other questions you might have.

Price is $700 Or Best Offer, and I am pretty flexible with that price.  I'm just looking to get a nice portion of a Dell 700m paid for with this sale.

I'll also trade outright for a 700m, and can add cash and/or trade towards one as well.

Specs:
Model # - HP Compaq NX7000
- Intel Pentium M 1.6 GHz processor
- 512mb PC2700 Ram
- 15.4-inch WSXGA+ (1680x1050)
- Radeon Mobility 9200
- 60gb HDD
- DVD/CDRW combo drive
- Internal Wireless (Intel 2100 I believe, it's 802.11b)
- 10/100, 56k, 3 USB 2.0, 1 Firewire, 1 SD card slot, VGA, Svideo, IR, 1 PCMCIA slot, Bluetooth
- JBL Pro Speakers (actually pretty nice speakers for a laptop, to my surprise)
- 2 power adapters
- I also have a PCMCIA Wireless G card to go with the laptop.
- Laptop Cooler with Built in USB hub
- I think I have a USB laptop mouse as well that I can throw in if requested.

Condition:
Screen - The screen is IMHO the highlight of this laptop.  The WSXGA+ is AMAZING.  Tons of real estate and great for DVDs/video (please note the pics of the laptop on are not at native res, I had changed it for something earlier.)  There are no scratches on the screen whatsoever.  There are also ZERO dead pixels and ZERO stuck pixels.

Keyboard - The keyboard works 100%  There is some wear on the right side of the spacebar (see pics) but it is only cosmetic.  The non-flash pic also shows some slight wear on the wristrest on both sides of the touchpad.  Also, the Windows XP sticker has worn off and is now a rectangular mirror LOL.  Again, these are all purely cosmetic.  I can take the sticker off entirely if you'd prefer.

Touchpad - Works 100%  Button up top shuts touchpad on/off, both mouse buttons work fine.

Case - There are practically no scratches, dings, or marks on the laptop's case at all.  I've taken extremely good care of it.  Hinges are perfect.  There are 3 small smudge marks on the bottom of the laptop which I forgot to take pics of, but can do so by request.  One is on the bottom of the battery, and 2 more are on the hard drive compartment.  No marks at all on top or sides.

Battery - holds a charge of around 2.5 hours with wireless on and sceen brightness at max, closer to 3 hours w/out wireless and/or with screen less bright.  Gaming and DVD is roughly 2 hours depending on screen brightness.  The battery itself is about a year and a half old, and used to hold a slightly bettercharge, but it's still been plenty for me.

Hardware - The motherboard on this laptop died about a month after I bought it.  It was replaced by HP and I've never had a problem since.  The memory in this laptop was replaced by HP during it's Memory Replacement Program last year.  I never had problems personally, but it was a free upgrade from PC2100 to PC2700 for me :)

Pictures: The flash really washed some of these out, sorry about that.  Feel free to ask for more specific pics of anything.

It has Windows XP Professional on it currently.  I have to double check if I still have the restore CDs, but I believe I do.  The CoA is on the bottom of the laptop however, so you can reinstall Windows at any time with that key.  I believe it's within the ToS to make you a copy of the Windows disk as long as you have a CoA, so I could do that if I can't find the restore CDs, but I'd have to double check if I'm right about that.

It also has OfficeXP on it currently which I bought through my school.  I believe that can be transferred as well.

I have the Help CD that HP shipped with it, as well as the original box, and I can put the latest set of drivers for the entire system on a CD so you can have them handy during a reinstall.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Not to rain on your parade but I just have to brag.

I just bought a dell 1150 laptop off another repair shop for 100.00 (US)

The symptoms were that is was completely dead.

Disassembled the unit, reflowed the power header pins and cleaned out the heat sink.

Unit now works fine.

P4 2.6/DVD/CDRW/512MEG and a wireless card.

Christmas SCORE!

Later,

Nice deal.  My father had one of those.  Be careful though, they get a bit hot, and for some reason the two I've seen in normal use proved to be dog slow after a while for no apparent reason.

Price dropped to $700 or best offer, and still pretty flexible with it.
