williams (and regular) 49 way connectors...
« on: December 18, 2005, 07:55:11 pm »
sorry if you came looking for answers, cause i'm writing to find out what kind of connector i need for a williams 49 way, and what the computer ide computer cable connector is called.  i think i remember someone saying that the williams could use an old school computer supply cable, but that must be older school than me since they've been molex since i can remember.

i'm asking since i'm making an old school 49 way panel and need to order some connectors so i can make my own wiring loom, so i need it in electronics terms.  thanks guys.

I believe that RandyT at Groovy Game Gear just came out with connectors for sale.  I don't know if you're looking for any connector or the original.  You can find them here:

Sorry, nothing for the Williams sticks.  Those are big connectors that aren't used much anymore.

Definitely the best source for these is an old AT power supply.

Have a poke around Bob Robert's site if you really want to find it.  I'm pretty sure I found the right ones there once upon a time.

Good call!

I dare say that these are the ones sought:

.156 Housing with pins 12 pos (Linear PS)

on this page:

Might be fun crimping them, but a little patience and a pair of needlenose pliers should get one there.
