S.T.U.N. Runner

I'm planning out my first cab and had a question about this, one of my all-time favorite games.

I've never had any luck getting it to play right using the keyboard on my computer.  What sort of control configuration will work to control it using arcade controls?  The arcade version used a Star Wars-style yoke, but sticking one of those on this cab isn't really a realistic option.

Will anything short of a yoke work?
Thanks in advance

Before i built my star wars add on panel I used a wingman flight stick. I felt like it played just as well as the yoke. I would think any analog controller would work.

For it is not enough to have a good mind, rather the main thing is to apply it well.
