I'm sure you boys can come up with something original.  I feel like setting up a website mostly just to document some things and maybe a blog, who knows.

Why not just get cheap hostingfrom somewhere and just set up a free blogging software on it, i use http://wordpress.org/ which is extremely easy to set up

And I don't think people are interested in your bowling scores. If you like bowling, put content that people will be interested in, such as history of bowling, ninepins vs tenpins, how to throw a hook shot, the odds of picking up the 7-10 split, stuff like that.

As far as the error,  I was doing the page and uploaded the wrong page...grrr...and overwrote the original, ( newbie mistake ) will work that out tonite.  The bowling scores are just there as a place for people who might be interested in other things I do, as you will see in the future, the site will not focus on any one particular thing, although I may take into consideration putting up some type of history ( as far as hooking the ball, I don't know how I do it, I just do it, lol.  I have a avi of myself....if I figure out how to shrink it...I'll put it up on the site.

I finished off the summer at 220 avg and I'm currently at 210 avg on the winter season.  I don't know what happened over the course of a few months, but my consistency is way off.

,  I'm just happy it went to a fellow BYOAC'er and not a random ebayer.  I sold the cabinet to someone, I think he was going to mame the cab.  I like the site, but get frustrated easily cause I'm just plugging along not sure what I'm doing.....

It can be a great and terrible past time if your doing it for money, I bowl
on the same league as my father ( different teams ) , but it lets me spend
time with him which is cool.

I never played in a money league, I don't gamble.  That's not purely gambling, but in general, if I compete in something that generates a monetary prize I will either pass on the prize or donate it to a charity.

I did play in a couple of leagues but was never much more than the guy who never scores huge but never craps out either.

The league itself generally does not pay much, you very rarely get the money back you put it.  Usually your up there just to have fun, but some leagues can be real competitive and cut throat.  Most expensive league i bowled on was 26 bucks a nite, 8 went to lineage, 18 to prize fund.  Granted I like to win some money, but the money I do invest, even if lost, if I manage to throw some high scores or seris and get awards, I still consider it a worthwhile investment.  Just about every league now involves some kinda of payoff or prize at the end, and usually if only a prize only league, most of them aren't sanctioned so you receiver no award ( ring, plauge, watch, etc ) or recgonition.

The awards are for personal achievements,    700,800 series....298,299,300 games.....when a team finishes lower than first you get a little money

Check your options.  I've got mine set to force all web sites to use my fonts/sizes.

the scores are also there for another reason.  I have alot of friends around the country and we compare scores to see
how we do throughout the week, but generally just rag on each
other when we throw the 130 game.  BTW, thanks for the compilation that took care of my galaga problem

Edit :  Think I may have misunderstood you, I mean if you view my page it should download the fonts I WANT YOU TO SEE, unless of course you have that checked under option in IE/FF...I know not everyone like things d/l to their comps...

Yeah, the second part of what you said was what I was talking about.  I haven't done any web designing in a year or more, and when I wanted something to show up in the font I wanted to force you to view it in, I made an image of the text.  Further web setup placed it where I wanted it to, and if you want it to be clickable, just set it up as an href linky thingy

Just make them in whatever the smaller format is that's still clear enough.  It shouldn't be more than a few kb.  Dunno if you have Photoshop, but you can easily "Save As" and change format/compression levels.  Once I get off my phat ass and install it, I could do it for you.  As of yet, no one has needed my mad Photoshop skeelz, so I've taken the Stingray approach to installing it.

And what the heck kinda league are you in that you bowl 4 games?  All the leagues I've been in have been 3-gamers.  At first, I was thinking "DAMN!  An 800 series " then I realized it was 4 games   Cripes, with misleading stats like that, Stingray could bowl a 900 series (over 18 games)

It's a double league......3 games would go to fast...we bowl 4.  Only the first 3 count towards your series....last one is just for a recognition score....299,300 stuff like that.  I've never shot 800 for my first 3, high was 798, but I shot 820 for my last 3.....wahhhh
