PC Tech Help - Need a PCI Parallel Card for WinXP
« on: December 09, 2005, 12:48:54 pm »
Hi guys.

Need some advice if anyone has any.
We got 2 new dell dimensions in for our Cad guys
and one of the programs they use has a Rainbow Sentenal
hardware lock/dongle for the Parallel port.

The software is older and not supported, and the new
PCs dont have Parallel or Serial ports on them (all usb)

I bought two PCI Parallel cards now, and neither of them
can be remapped to Legacy I/O Addresses.  (Need to make them
0378)  One of them was not configurable at all, the other
was configurable in Win98 only.  (In WinXP you could not modify
the Legacy Address)

Help!
Any suggestions!
...so I will ask you... "Deal, or No Deal?"
