« on: December 06, 2005, 06:00:34 pm »
i wanted to know if this is possible...

see since deault setting for shift is P1 start and any button but since i am making 4 player cab and i wanted each player to have option to escape the game.

is it possible to program it so that each player side have escape

eg: for player 1 p1 start + p1 button 1
for player 2 p2 start + button 1
same for p3 and p4

??

Almost - - -

First off, I'm not crazy about shifted escape sequence.

while we are on the subject of ipac 4 it has 2 grounds are they the same ground just on diff sides of the card or is one ground for players 1 and 2 and the other for 3 and 4?

In this case, ground is ground - you can wire player 3 to the player 1 side ground or the player 3 side ground, there are just two terminals for convenience.  AFAIK.
