« on: December 05, 2005, 10:03:32 pm »
Hi guys, GREAT boards here. Just got my account.

trying to work on a personal stick and i need parts. comp buttons, sanwa sticks, etc. id really prefer to get the parts from toronto. if i cant find them ill just order something from ponyboy. but id really prefer to get them locally. dont say starburst. they dont have anything im looking for.

any torontonians here know a good place to get parts locally?

www.cgcc.ca

Its a Canadian Gamers Forum that has a Coin-Op section. Ask in there since theres alot of people from toronto in there!

I've bought from Tony a number of times and, sadly, pickup has not been an optionm but shipping was fast and cheap.

Cheers

dont say starburst. they dont have anything im looking for.

Now that puzzles me ... I certainly don't know all of what Starburst has and I used to be in there once a week (they are the Canadian distributor for Happs, so "have" everything that Happs has).

They certainly have everything you mention in your posts (which was limited to Sanwa sticks and comp buttons).

Please be very specific about what you are looking for that "Starburst doesn't have".

NOTE: I am not trying to cop attitude here, I am just baffled by your statement when I know that they have the two things you mention in your post.

Welcome to the boards -- you'll certainly find somebody who has what you need.

Cheers.

EDIT: I see from your post on CGCC that you are referring specifically to buttons, so I presume that you are having trouble finding comp buttons. I know that they have comp buttons, but perhaps you are thinking that their site has their full catalog (it doesn't) or perhaps they don't have pastel comp buttons (which I am not sure of).

If you haven't already, you might want to e-mail Dave at Starburst (dave@starburstcoin.com) with specifics, including part numbers if available.

oops. sorry for not being very clear. im not looking for much because im simply building a stick for my xbox. seen some cool stuff online. anyway, starburst does not have ANY competition buttons of any kind. none in stock. the guy in the parts department said that it would take at least 2-3 weeks to get them in and id need topay for them in advance (no problem anyway). and they only have one sanwa stick, in green and white. i need red parts. so as good as im sure starburst is, they cant help me out this time.

ive just sent an email to new age. got the addy from cgcc.ca. lets see what hes got! :D

thanks for the help guys!

Well that explains it ... kinda surprised about the 2-3 weeks as they've always had 1 week turnaround for stuff they had to order for me (although I don't order from them myself much anymore because I've been looking for classic parts).

Tony at New Era is a good guy and ships FAST (received my last order 2 days after ordering). Hope he has what you want.

Cheers.
