Where to buy mini-buttons other than Happs?
« on: December 04, 2005, 11:17:40 pm »
I'm looking for something like Happs Competition Pushbuttons (http://www.happcontrols.com/pushbuttons/5896xxl.htm) but the size of the Miniature Momentary Contact Pushbuttons (http://www.happcontrols.com/pushbuttons/49057700.htm).  Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

www.mouser.com
www.digikey.com
www.newark.com

These are not arcade-specific vendors, but they carry a ton of different pushbuttons, switches, and all things electrical.

I want to know how many of the (other) geeks on these boards keep their print catalogs next to the toilet- just for the articles, of course.

Radio Shack has nice looking ones, not cheap though...

Part 275-644 (black)

Part 275-646 (red/black)
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2062510&cp

I used a few here and there.

Those look nice - is the spring inside tough to push?  The ones from Happs seem stiff to me...

Anyone else?  I picked up one of the radioshack buttons and there is parctically no lip on the bezel so the button just slips through the hole I have cut out on my CP.  I'd really like to use the Happs buttons but they must be black...

I just found a source for some arcade-looking mini-buttons.  I haven't recieved my order yet, but I hope to offer these for sale soon.  I don't have exact measurements, but they are supposed to mount in a 1/2 inch hole.  The switch is integrated.

Those look EXACTLY like what I'm looking for.  As long as the bezel is bigger than 1/2" I should be OK...   I tried those three sites above but they were tough to navigate - I did order a free catalog though  ;D

When hooking up these mini buttons, does it matter which wire goes where?
