I have started a thread over at winamp.com for help with a plug in that will send song info to beta brite.

Did the sign come with any APIs or programmers reference material?  I had to write some code to display text on a Symon scrolling marquee a long time ago for work.  Usually it's just a matter of getting the API (or programming interface) to the sign and then making those appropriate calls from the winamp plugin to display the text.  If I had one of those signs I would be all over this hehe.  Good idea you have there -- I'm envious.  :)

Not sure on the winamp thing, but I've LOVING the idea of doing that with an arcade machine.

Anyone know how it's done?

Come on,  It's only the best thing since sliced bread.  I can see someone didn't do any searches. ::)  Silver made a program to create files that send game names or whatever, including controls to the beta brite.

It's a modern day miracle.  I don't know how this happened, but I was listening to streaming xmas music and my wife says," what's that crap at the top?"  She was pointing to the beta brite.  It was the address of the music.  I looked at it and blew it off at first....................then the little bulb in my head went off!!!!  I went to my library, picked a random song and bam!  It displayed across the beta brite!!!! I am really not sure what happened.  It could have been this plug in, but I don't know.  All I know is that I wish all this stuff just happened like that!

Here is the plugin that may have started it all, but I have had it on there for awhile and nothing happened in the past till now!
