Unknown Machine Anyone?
« on: November 25, 2005, 07:58:12 pm »
Picked up a couple freebies today....
Here's the first one:

He seems to think it played Mr. Do! but isn't sure...

I was going to plug it in, but there is a crystal ripped off of the pcb.

The CP has a 4 way wico, with strange start buttons, and a nintendo style jump button.

Anyone recognize the cabinet? It looks alot like a pacman cab, but the construction is more like

You can OWN a keno machine... operating it for gambling purposes... that's different. Maybe it had a ticket printer somewhere on it for any payouts. Or maybe there was just a call light on the top of it :)

The first picture is really dark; but, assuming there are no underlaying layers of paint on the Namco cab, my guess would be that it started life as a Rally-X cab.

The current Wico stick is about where the left smoke button would have been, but it should have had two buttons horizontally on the right side, near the top, for start buttons, in addition to the current one.

The CP may also be a drilled out Galaga CP.
The stick and button locations are about right for it, and it had the stacked start buttons on the right, like Pac-cabs.

I'd guess Galaxian for the top one...  Right color, seems to be the right control placement.  Poor thing...

Here's a picture of my Mr. Do! PCB.  I don't know if different games used the same style PCB's or not.  If you want a detailed pic of a certain area, just holler!
