Possibility of Xbox 360 lightguns in MAME?
« on: November 25, 2005, 04:59:29 pm »
Since the Xbox 360 uses standard USB...  I imagine that they'll be releasing lightguns sooner or later.  The console uses both HD and standard NTSC output so using it on a computer monitor/television may be a possibility out of the box...

What is the possibility that we'll see the ability to use Xbox 360 light guns on our cabinets?

That would be very cool if it turned out to be the case.

The current Xbox controllers are USB as well, but they have one extra wire (yellow), and its only reason for being there is for lightgun use.

That being said...

We may never actually see a lightgun on 360.

Xbox only had 3 games that used the lightgun, and I don't think any of them sold very well, and one of them was a complete broke pos.
